Experience matters.
Standards matter more.
Permanent makeup isn’t something you want rushed, guessed or learned from a weekend course. It requires skill, restraint and deep understanding of skin, symmetry and long-term results. That belief has shaped Michelle’s entire career.
Growing up in Taranaki, Michelle began her working life in office roles that never quite fit. Creative by nature and drawn to beauty therapy, she chose the harder path and followed her instincts. That decision led to more than 30 years in the beauty industry and a reputation built on trust, precision and care.
Never Settling for “Good Enough”
Michelle has spent decades refining her craft while many stop once they’re qualified. She has trained extensively in New Zealand and internationally, completing advanced education across Australia, America and Europe to ensure her clients receive world-class techniques, not trends.
A pivotal moment in her career was training with Val Glover Hovan, one of the most respected names in permanent makeup globally. That experience set the standard Michelle still works to today.
She doesn’t chase fads. She builds results that age well.

“Permanent makeup artists know how to enhance, not overpower. I believe in creating timeless, balanced results that feel like you. The kind people notice, without quite knowing why.”
Lifetime Member of the International Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals
Michelle is a highly experienced permanent makeup artist, trainer and advanced skin therapist. Her knowledge runs deep, but what truly sets her apart is judgment. Knowing when to say yes, when to say no, and when a lighter hand is the best hand.
She is a Lifetime Member of the International Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP) in the USA, an achievement few in New Zealand hold. In an industry that remains largely unregulated, Michelle has chosen to work to the highest international standards anyway.
Jane Smith
"I first met Michelle in 2018 when she was training a lady and I was a model for upper eyeliner. Over the years I have had micro needling, colour correction of my green brows (another artist had done 6 years prior), removed a lip liner that was outside of my lips. Eventually I even had my eyeliner turned into a soft eye shadow.
I love Michelle and love, love her work. As a highly anxious person she puts me at ease and makes me feel safe and comfortable."

"Michelle thank you for my fantastic eyebrows. I had struggled for ages with my own eyebrows as they were thin and getting thinner. I had been pencilling them, and tried a henna die and that was a failure as showed how thin my eyebrows were.
I met with Michelle and we had a chat on what I wanted and my expectations. Michelle was awesome and went through the type of procedures she performed. Then upon Michelle’s recommendation I had my eyebrows tattooed. The colour Michelle chose matches perfectly with my skin and colour of my eyes."
